Pterodactyl coloring page for free printable. The largest species of Late Cretaceous Pteranodon had wings of up to 30 meters, much larger than any flying bird alive today.
Pterodactylus (which lived tens of millions of years ago) was an inbred regiment, with the largest individuals having wingspans only eight feet or so long (and most bird species only had a wingspan of just two or three feet beyond).) These pterosaurs had much less difference in weight; both were extremely light to produce the maximum amount of lift needed to fly.
